These are the words that, for me, capture the experience offered by the Social Creativity workshop. Completely new faces and different stories gathered in one room\u2014yet it was enough for us to let ourselves be \u201ctouched\u201d and connect with one another. For me, it felt as if I were part of a constellation; even though everything around me was unfamiliar, I went through an entire process in which the new became familiar. I allowed myself to be vulnerable and realized how important it is to build a connection with the person in front of you\u2014not just any connection, but an authentic one\u2014which was one of the main pillars of the series. I learned how to integrate the new into our lives and how important our perspective on it is. Do we let ourselves be swept up in it or not? In short, I learned how to \u201cembrace\u201d the experiences that create the most turmoil and completely disrupt our routine\u2014yet without which there would be no progress. What did I take away from it? Definitely a lot, but I was reminded of the most basic\u2014and often overlooked\u2014fact: we are social beings, and therefore we cannot live without others, at least not for long periods of time. We crave connection, yet we stand in our own way, even though things could be so much simpler than that. It\u2019s up to us\u2665\ufe0f So, the workshop was wonderful and inspired me to focus my energy and personal resources on things that I now consider much more important. They were all incredibly wonderful and interesting, although for me, the workshops that had the greatest impact were \u201cEmotional Intelligence\u201d and \u201cBuilding Healthy Relationships.\u201d These are issues I deal with every day, and honestly, since taking the workshops, I can say that I\u2019ve become more aware of the positive and negative things around me. And it worked out\u2014Camelia is a wonderful and incredibly warm person; she radiates positive energy, and you can tell she really loves what she does and helping people. Together, you\u2019re doing a wonderful job. The activities were great\u2014they managed to \u201cpush\u201d me a little out of my comfort zone, and I was able to socialize and have a good time. The most important thing is that I always felt \u201cin the zone.\u201d And when there wasn\u2019t a break, I didn\u2019t feel the need to pick up my phone. I learned a lot of new things about myself and saw how different people can be and how we all perceive things differently.
