At IMPACT clubs, children develop life skills by participating in real-world activities connected to their own community. The learning is relevant to them because they engage in concrete activities in areas such as environmental protection, entrepreneurship, education, and civic engagement\u2014helping them build confidence, independence, resilience, and compassion. Leaders, mentors, and adults provide a positive environment and encourage them to explore and try new things without fear of failure. <\/span><\/p>\n

At IMPACT clubs, you have the chance to discover yourself, find out what you enjoy, and take advantage of events and opportunities for young people. You can become part of the IMPACT Youth Leaders Ambassadors and represent your peers throughout the country and even abroad. Your volunteer work is recognized and appreciated, and if you\u2019d like, you can apply for an internship at the VIA\u021aA Camp run by the Noi Orizonturi Foundation. Plus, you\u2019ll join an international volunteer movement, where you\u2019ll be part of an active and open community. <\/p>\n

The first 15 members of UrbanAct Bra\u0219ov overcame their shyness and stepped out of their comfort zones, transforming themselves into an autonomous team that designed and implemented two local initiatives with a real impact on the community.<\/div>\n
Purrfect Match<\/strong> was an animal adoption fair held at the Happy Tails Vulcan shelter, attended by over 100 people. Members promoted responsible adoption, organized workshops for children, attracted local sponsors, and handled all aspects of the event\u2019s promotion\u2014both online and on-site. <\/div>\n
The IMPACT Picnic<\/strong> brought together about 80 participants in a natural setting in Bra\u0219ov. The event promoted healthy lifestyles and social connection through locally sourced food, outdoor games, and informal interaction, involving the families and friends of the members and extending the project\u2019s impact beyond the core group. <\/div>\n

The second generation, consisting of 15 members, continued the club\u2019s tradition with the same curriculum offered by the New Horizons Foundation. Their first project, Pay It Forward<\/strong>, was selected from among more than 50 applications in the \u201cTogether for a Sustainable Future\u201d competition and received support from Noi Orizonturi and Humana People For People. <\/div>\n
The project had two goals: to encourage donations of used clothing, shoes, and toys, which were turned into personalized gifts with messages written by club members, and to involve children from disadvantaged backgrounds in upcycling activities\u2014making dolls from reused materials and discussing the importance of recycling. The necessary funds were raised through a group caroling event during the winter holidays and were used to purchase candy, hygiene products, and school supplies. <\/div>\n

\ud83e\udd1d Next, they organized the Generate More Impact Regional Event, which brought together IMPACT clubs, teachers, and people involved in education to share experiences and network.
Education for sustainability in schools through workshops dedicated to responsible fashion continued with the UrbanReset25 project, which consisted of a broad campaign on social media and in schools about the impact of plastic in clothing, a campaign that culminated in a fashion show titled \u201cPlastic Free,\u201d during which models wore dresses made from recycled materials, created by the club members themselves.<\/p>\n

At the end of the year, the entire Club was in a festive mood, celebrating IMPACT\u2019s 24th anniversary with a picnic dedicated to the community, local producers, and caring for nature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
